IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE NORTHERN DISTRICT OF TEXAS LUBBOCK DIVISION KEVIN N. BASS, Plaintiff, v. TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER, et al., Defendants. § § § § § § § Civil Action No. 5:25-cv-00244-H-BV PLAINTIFF’S NOTICE REGARDING TIMELINESS OF OBJECTIONS (DKT. 8) 1. Under Fed. R. Civ. P. 72(b)(2), objections must be filed within 14 days after being served. 2. The NEF for Dkt. 7 reflects that the notice “has been electronically mailed to:” no recipients and that “Notice required by federal rule will be delivered by other means … to: Kevin N. Bass” at Plaintiff’s address of record. 3. Because service of Dkt. 7 was by “other means” (non-electronic), Fed. R. Civ. P. 6(d) adds three days; applying Rules 6(a) and 6(d), the objection deadline was December 8, 2025, and Plaintiff’s objections filed on December 8, 2025 (Dkt. 8) were timely. This Notice is submitted solely to clarify the timeliness of Dkt. 8 and does not seek reconsideration of the Court’s mootness ruling regarding Plaintiff’s original preliminary-injunction request. Respectfully submitted, /s/ Kevin N. Bass Kevin N.
